Campsite with fires sussex
Camp fires are a must and you can purchase logs with which to build your own camp fire.
Bring your friends and pets because we are one of the most family friendly camp grounds in the South East England.
But overall, it was good fun and I would definitely visit again. The sun shone, we took woodland showers and cycled and thoroughly enjoyed the quirkyness and the sound of young children playing in the central area. Read all the positive reviews for Blackberry Wood and had high hopes.
We stayed in the teeny weeny 2 person 1960s caravan last summer - before the schools broke up with my husband. Arrived and had a little difficulty finding the reception, which was sign posted but not obvious. We had a pitch named Sirius which could accommodate our large tent. The idea behind the site is sound with individual pitches for each camp separated by foliage and trees.
There's heaps of flora and fauna to keep you bewitched, not to mention the encouragement of big woodland campfires!
With so much space you can choose your own size pitch, we do not charge by the number of tents (only Gazebos).
You can pitch tents, bring a camper van, your motor home, or caravan.
You can pre-book a pitch with an electric hook-up if you require (when available).
So whether you want to explore the South Downs or skim stones on the famous pebble beaches, you’ll find a good base to pitch your tent.
